Ireland Cricket Team Shocks at the World Cup

The Irish cricket team has stunned the world by defeating cricket heavyweight Pakistan in its first year qualifying for the cup in the West Indies.

Ranked 14, team Ireland has overcome all odds in their upset win against Pakistan. The Pakistani team was ranked fourth, have been in the world cup for decades, and have even won a championship, while the Irish team is still fairly new.

Congratulations to Ireland. They won on St. Patrick's Day, and will be celebrating the victory in a pub over some Guinness.

Also, happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone in the United States or Ireland.

1000 Visits

That's right, I've finally collected 1000 visits since Novmember 2006. I think I may get back into the posting spirit. I would encourage others to do the same.

A Very Sad Day

Today we mourn the loss of Ian Richardson, one of the greatest television actors of our time. The Englishman was best known for his role as Francis Urquhart. Richardson played the machiavellian chief whip of the British House of Commons in the hugely popular series, House of Cards. We will miss him very much.

The Kingdom Movie Trailer

The Kingdom is the film that brought Jamie Foxx, Jason Bateman, Chris Cooper, and Jeremy Piven to Abu Dhabi. The first trailer was recently released and now available online.

http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/thekingdom.html

I thought it might be good to post the trailer on here, as I previously posted showing off about the cool actors I met. Now you can see how the movie itself has turned out.

It takes place in Riyahd, where the filmmakers never actually went (but Abu Yayha did) and very little was actually filmed in Abu Dhabi. All the same, it will be fun to pick out the actors I've chilled out with and the parts of the city that made it into the film.

It opens in the US on April 20th.

2007

I made that myself.
Haha. Hahaha. I have reached 2007 before my readers in America. I gotta tell you, it looks like a pretty good year so far. I drank a whole bottle of champagne. (I didn't really.)
